With the aim of providing an opportunity to showcase their latent talents and discover fascinating facts about Our Country we have come up with Various Competitions Online .

Selection will be based on:

  • Content, clarity of speech, Voice Modulation and overall performance.
  • The child needs to show and speak about the topic in his/her favorite language.
  • Duration: 1 minute.
  • Language: English/Tamil/Hindi.

  • Children should be groomed neatly and must have a Name Tag.
  • Registration is mandatory.

Spelling Bee-2020

Hindustan International School-Padur, Department of English conducts Spelling Bee Contest for the Student Warriors of Grade V to X from 07Dec-11Dec 2020.

No need of prior registration, students can directly participate in the 1st round of the Spelling bee contest.(07, 08 & 09 Dec. 2020)

(i) Junior Category- Grade V to VII

(ii) Senior Category- Grade VIII to X

1. Details of the Competition:

  • 1st Round: (07, 08 & 09 Dec. 2020) Spell Bee Quiz (Google forms)-Top 24 contestants are selected.
  • Semi-Final :(10 Dec. 2020) Live Online (Four semi-finals, each with six contestants. Winners from each semi-final will progress to final)
  • Final: (11 Dec. 2020)  Live Online (Top three is selected)

2. Rules & Guidelines for 1st Round: (Spell Bee Quiz)

  • It has three rounds, one on each day from 07 to 09 December(Students should attend all three rounds)
  • Should answer 15 questions within 6 minutes.
  • At 4:00 pm on 07, 08 and 09 December the Quiz will go live and closes at 4:06 pm.(After 4:06 pm you will not be able to submit the answers)
  • The highest scoring 24 participants over the three rounds will be selected for the semi-finals.
  • In case of tied score, the player who takes least time to submit the answer will be selected.
  • The links for quiz will be uploaded on the library blog at 3:00 pm every day on 07, 08 & 09 December 2020.

3. Rules & Guidelines for Semi-Final:

  • Four semi-finals, each with six contestants.
  • Each contestant will be asked to spell a word in turn. Students spelled wrong will be eliminated.
  • It consists of as many rounds as needed to eliminate five contestants.
  • Winner from each semi-final (4 students) will progress to final.

4. Rules & Guidelines for Final:

  • It will consist of as many rounds as needed to identify first, second and third places.
  • When two contestants are eliminated in the same round (leaving a tie for third place), a tiebreaker round is conducted to establish 3rd place.

5. General Rules:

  • In Semi-final and Final, round 1 starts with easy word and difficulty level will increase in further rounds.
  • Contestants who make a mistake are eliminated at the end of that round.
  • In case all remaining contestants spell a word incorrectly in the same round, a further round will be run until a clear winner emerges.
  • Contestants will get 30 seconds to spell each word.
  • Contestants should not stop in the middle of a word and go back to the beginning to start again.
  • For Semi-final and Final, Cameras must be on at all times. And maintain eye contact with the camera while they are spelling.
  • Exciting prizes for winners and e-certificates for all the participants. 

Fit India School Week Celebration

Fit India Movement is a nation-wide movement in India to encourage students and
parents to remain healthy and fit by physical activities and sports.

We are going to celebrate FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK on fourth week of November (23/11/2020 to 28/11/2020). So, we planned few activities for HIS student warriors.

Hope you all will actively participate and make FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK CELEBRATION 2020-21 successful.

SPECTACULAR-2020(Virtual Expo)

A School Exhibition is not just an opportunity to show our school students’ talents but surely an invitation to be more creative and productive in our thoughts and ideas. HIS Padur School has been taking many initiatives to provide interactive, participatory, hands-on, innovative and creative learning experiences to Students.

The Expo is open for all Students from Grades I to X. The exhibit could have an individual or a team of minimum 2 and maximum of 4 members.

This is designed to stir curiosity, enthusiasm and innovative skill and to inculcate lifelong fascination for Science into the students through inspiring activities.
